Chez Jane Garlic Spread Original or Garlicky Recipes

Shrimp Kabob

2 lbs Pre-cooked Shrimp
2 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
Toss them together and put on skewers. Put the skewers on a cookie sheet and broil 2 minutes on each side. Serve on a bed of rice and salad on the side.

If using as an appetizer, use smaller skewers to amaze your guests.

Roasted Chicken

1- 3 1/2 to 3 ¾ pound chicken ( you may use cut up chicken)
Chez Jane recommends Garlic Spread Garlicky/Original
1 tbsp oregano

Put a few slits in the chicken. Spread garlic spread generously over chicken. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake at 375 until cooked to desired tenderness.

Cheesy Herbed Garlic Bread

1 French Baguette (sliced in length)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Chez Jane recommends Garlic Spread Garlicky/Original

Spread garlic spread generously over baguette. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 for 6 minutes or until lightly browned.

Shrimp Scampi

2 lbs Raw or Pre-cooked Shrimp
2 tbsp Butter or margarine
2 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 cup of dry white wine
2 tbsp oregano or thyme

Heat butter and flour. Whisk garlic spread and wine until flour is mixed in real good and no clumps appear. Bring to a boil and add pre cooked shrimps and oregano or thyme and cook for 2 minutes. If using raw shrimps, please cook until opaque.

If desired, prepare shrimp with an additional 2 tablespoons of Chez Jane Garlic spread and serve over cooked pasta.

Vegetarian Green Beans

1 medium onion
1 tbsp olive oil
1 8 oz can diced tomatoes
1 16 oz bag frozen green beans
1 tsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut up onion in squares and turn with olive oil until onion is reddish. Add Chez Jane Garlic Spread Garlicky/Original and tomatoes and turn with the onions for 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and half a cup of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes. Serve on a bed of rice. Bon Appetit.

Lentil Soup

1 16oz bag of lentils
8 cups of water or vegetable broth
1 bunch of Swiss chard
1 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread -Garlicky/Original
1/4 cup lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Bring lentils and water to a boil. When lentils are cooked add Chez Jane Garlic Spread -Garlicky/Original and whisk until dissolved. Add Swiss chard, lemon juice, salt and pepper, serve and enjoy!

Pasta Primavera

2 medium onions
1 tbsp olive oil
2 chopped carrots
2 chopped zucchini
4 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread -Garlicky/Original
2 tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
4 cups cooked Pasta

Boil pasta to desired doneness. Toss first 5 ingredients in a large saucepan and sauté until vegetables are crunchy but not overly tender. Add fresh tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Serve over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. If desired, add either 2 cups of cooked shrimp or cooked chicken to the pasta as a delicious alternative to the recipe.

Yogurt Salad

1 cucumber
1 lb yogurt
1/2 tsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread Garlicky/Original
1/2 tsp dried mint

Cut cucumbers into cubes and set aside. Add Chez Jane Gourmet Garlic Spread to yogurt. Blend thoroughly. Sprinkle with dried mint. Pour yogurt mixture over cucumbers and toss.

Salmon

2 lbs salmon filets or steaks
Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
1 tbsp dill

Spread Chez Jane Garlic Spread generously over salmon. Sprinkle with dill. Bake or grill to desired doneness. You may substitute Chez Jane Garlic Spread herb flavor and not add onions.

Salad Dressing

1 tsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
4 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Salt

Combine first two ingredients and whisk until blended. Add olive oil and mix thoroughly. Add salt, to taste. Serve over your favorite salad greens.

Baked Stuffed Potato

4 baked potatoes
4 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Bake potatoes at 475 until tender. Let set for 2 minutes. Slice potato halves lengthwise. Spread Chez Jane Gourmet Garlic Spread generously over each half. Add Cheese and serve.

Lamb or Roast

6 Servings 1-5 lbs Rack of Lamb
1/2 cup Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Garlicky/Original
Salt and Pepper to taste
Fresh rosemary

Preheat over to 300. Spread lamb generously with Chez Jane Garlic Spread. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and fresh rosemary. Roast at 375 to desired well-ness, twelve minutes per pound for rare, eighteen minutes per pound for well. Remove from oven and let stand for twenty minutes before carving. Garnish with fresh rosemary and serve.

Chicken Kabob

4 chicken breasts
1 1/2 Tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Garlicky/Original
1 tbsp oregano

Wash and pat the chicken. Cut in large square. Add Chez Jane Garlic Spread & oregano. Toss well and put on skewers. Bake or grill to desired doneness.

Sautéed Mushrooms (Jennifer's favorite dish to make)

1 lb Mushroom
2 Tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread Garlicky/Original
1 pat of butter

Melt butter in frying pan. Add remaining ingredients. Cook on medium high for 5 to 6 minutes. Serve and enjoy.

Bruchetta

2 large tomatoes - diced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread Garlicky/Original
Romano Cheese
1/4 cup of fresh basil
dash of salt
1 Baguette

Cut baguette lengthwise and bake until crispy. Set aside. Chop tomatoes fine, add salt and oil. Spread Chez Jane Garlic Spread on baguette, slice and top with tomato mixture & Romano cheese, fresh basil and serve.

Garlic Potatoes

2 lbs Potatoes quartered
1 medium diced onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Original or Garlicky
1/4 cup lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste & dash of paprika for color

Mix all the above ingredients and bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until potatoes are cooked.

Sweet shrimp with creamy Semolina

6 servings

2 pounds small shrimp
1 quart water
1 cup semolina flour (6 ounces)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Salt
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread (any flavor)
2 tbsp coarsely chopped parsley
Ground pepper
Extra-virgin olive oil for serving.

1. Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook until opaque, about 2 minutes. Drain and let cool, then peel and transfer to a boil. (may substitute to already precooked shrimp)

2. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil over moderate heat. Slowly whisk in the semolina flour until smooth. Reduce the heat to low and whisk semolina until it thickened, about 4 minutes. Remove from the heat. Whisk tin the butter and season the semolina with salt.

3. Toss the shrimp in the extra-virgin olive oil, Chez Jane Gourmet Garlic Spread and the parsley and season with salt & pepper. Spoon the semolina into shallow bowls. Top with the shrimp and serve at once, passing the extra-virgin olive oil for drizzling at the table.

Corn Salad Recipe submitted by Dianne O'Farrell

2 cups fresh corn or 5 ears (cut off cob and blanch)
2 ripe Mangoes
2/3 cup finely diced red onion
4 ripe tomatoes
1 Tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread - Original or Garlicky
2 Tbsp lime zest
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 tsp minced jalapeno
2/3 cup fresh cilantro

Combine all ingredients except cilantro. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hrs. Just before serving, toss in cilantro. Serve chilled.

Chez Jane Garlic Spread Original or Garlicky Appetizers

Bruchetta

2 large tomatoes - diced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread -Original/Garlicky
Romano Cheese
dash of salt
1 Baguette
1 1/2 cups of diced Fresh Basil

Cut baguette in small circles (1 inch thickness) and spread Chez Jane Garlic Spread on baguette. Bake until crispy. Set aside. Mix tomatoes, chopped basil, salt and oil. Top the bread circles with tomato mixture, Romano cheese and serve. Hm Hm Hm

Summer Salsa Recipe submitted by Lisa Moore

1 Mango
1 Papaya
1 Tomato
1/4 Onion
1 small bunch Cilantro parsley
1/2 Yellow Pepper
1/2 Red Pepper
1 Jalapeño Pepper
1/2 squeezed lemon

Dice all the above and place in bowl. Add the dressing listed below and enjoy.

Dressing:
1 tbsp Chez Jane Garlic Spread Original or Garlicky
2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Olive oil

Quesadillas

On your favorite tortilla, spread the Garlic Original/ Garlicky, sprinkle a hand full of shredded mozzarella cheese, a couple of slices of tomatoes and bake in a preheated oven at 375° for about 5 to 6 minutes (or until cheese has melted). Cut in quarters and you will have 8 delicious wedges for your guests to enjoy.

Garlic Cream Cheese

To an 8oz tub of your favorite cream cheese, add 1 1/2 Tbsp of Chez Jane Gourmet Garlic Spread Original/ Garlicky and mix well. Add your favorite crackers and voilà. A perfect cheese spread for your enjoyment.

Chicken Kabob

Wash and pat the chicken. Cut in large square. Add Chez Jane Garlic Spread. Toss well and put on small bamboo skewers (2 or 3 slices on each). Bake or grill on a cookie sheet. And you are ready to serve with a nice bottle of chilled Chardonnay.
